Renewal deadline
A trademark registration is valid for a period of ten years from the date of the national registration. The registration can be renewed every 10 years directly with the Intellectual Property Office of Mongolia (IPOM), upon payment of the required renewal fees.
The renewal fees can be paid in the last year of the valid registration. The Trademark Law of Mongolia allows a grace period of six months. Trademark can be renewed during six months following the date of expiry.

Renewal documents
To renew a national registration, the Form No. 13 shall be filled out and submitted with the IPOM paying the renewal fees.
Foreign right holders need to appoint a local representation to renew their trademark registration in Mongolia. A signed power of attorney issued on the IPOM form is required for renewal. Notarization or legalization of the power of attorney is not necessary.
In case of renewal during the grace period, a deadline recovery request and the late renewal fees shall be paid.
Renewal certificate
Renewal is confirmed in the Form No. 14 with the statement of the renewal period.
